Blue Slips in Rutherford
A blue slip is the inspection you need to register a vehicle in NSW that isn't currently registered here, such as a car whose rego lapsed more than three months ago or one you've brought from interstate. It's more detailed than a pink slip: as well as a full safety check, we confirm the vehicle's identity before the result is lodged with Transport for NSW.
What's included
Blue Slips at SAI Motor Works
Blue slips are done at an Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station (AUVIS). We check the vehicle identification number, engine number and compliance or build plates match the vehicle, then work through brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, body and structure, seatbelts, windscreen and more.
If something doesn't pass, we'll show you what failed and quote the fix. Once the car passes, the result is lodged electronically, and you can register it with Service NSW along with your green slip (CTP insurance).
